PURIFIER DPH
 
The DPH function is to purify the HYDROGEN from the residual content of HUMIDITY and OXYGEN, which are present into the Hydrogen when it is produced by electrolytic way.

In general terms, DPH device can be used other than to eliminate the residual humidity and oxygen traces from the fuel gas Hydrogen, also to increase the title of Hydrogen coming from different production processes or even from gas cylinder.

In many industrial applications in fact, a pure gas with very high title is required, thus the standard level of 99.5%, typical of gases produced with ON-SITE generators or supplied in bottles, is not sufficient.

Industrial applications requiring pure gas are continuously increasing. Pure gas finds its use into many applications like heat treatments, sintering, electronics and so on; that's the reason to use devices capable of guaranteeing the needed high grades of gas purity.
  The DPH treatment device has three essential functions:

  • Purification : elimination of traces of electrolytic solution or other impurity.
  • Deoxying : elimination of residual oxygen traces up to infinitesimal values (few ppm).
  • Drying : elimination of any residual humidity content (at vapour level) up to infinitesimal ppm values (fractions of ppm).

    These functions are realized using active beds filters, catalysts, and activated alumina. These functions are also additionally improved using automatic regenerators with external added nitrogen or with addition of a portion of pure gas recycled from the outlet.

    Required maintenance is low since in this configuration the purifier has no consumable material requiring frequently substitutions; only the beds substitution into the inlet tower is needed (however it is a simple and economic operation which can be done biennally).
